Report: Bucks, Kenyon Martin discussing deal
A person familiar with the discussions says the Milwaukee Bucks are in talks to sign veteran forward Kenyon Martin.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on Thursday on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to speak about the discussions. Martin could be signed as soon as Friday.
Milwaukee hosts Minnesota on Friday night. The Bucks would have to make a corresponding roster move to add Martin.
The forward on Twitter made it seem as if was a done deal. Martin said he was ''excited to be back'' and thanked the Bucks for the opportunity.
Great day. Excited to be back in the court. Would like to thank the Bucks for the opportunity to play again. #letsgo— Kenyon Martin Sr. (@KenyonMartinSr) January 8, 2015
ESPN first reported the potential signing.
The 37-year-old Martin played 32 games last season for the New York Knicks before becoming a free agent. He worked out for the Bucks last week.
