Paul Pierce takes another dig at the Nets

Published May. 19, 2015 4:57 p.m. ET

Paul Pierce is in rapid fire mode lately.

First, he said that Deron Williams and Joe Johnson weren't locker room leaders in Brooklyn. Then, he spent an entire series trolling the Raptors as his Wizards pulled off a four-game sweep in the first round. He followed that by calling "series," calling "game," and eventually falling to the Hawks in the second round of the playoffs. Now, he's back at knocking the Nets, this time more subtly.

In Howard Beck's fantastic Kevin Garnett oral history at Bleacher Report, Pierce had some words to describe how he truly felt about KG waiving his no-trade clause to go back to Minnesota back in February. From the piece:

"I thought he made a good decision. I told him, 'The people of Minnesota are really going to appreciate you more than they do in Brooklyn.' And I think he felt that."

Paul Pierce knocking Brooklyn again. You've got to love it.
