Nuggets are in perfect position to gain an additional lottery pick
The Denver Nuggets should be able to grab a pretty talented prospect with the seventh pick in the NBA draft. Of course, as with most things in life, two is better than one, and the Nuggets are in a perfect position to acquire another lottery pick, according to Christopher Dempsey of the Denver Post.
"Detroit, in the No. 8 slot, reportedly is open to shopping its pick. The Pistons, who recently traded for Milwaukee "stretch 4" Ersan Ilyasova, could use additional help at small forward. The Nuggets have options to at least broach a conversation there."
Wilson Chandler's contract is among the league's friendliest, while Chandler himself would be a terrific get for Detroit. The Nuggets could also approach the Kings, who pick sixth, about a deal for Ty Lawson. That would give the Kings the point guard they need and give the Nuggets the opportunity to draft two of the high-lottery players they've been keen on for so long.
