NBA security still has no idea who Jeremy Lin is
Charlotte Hornets backup point guard Jeremy Lin has quietly been one of the most consistent bench players in the NBA this season. He gets to the rim, irons out the wrinkles in Charlotte's second unit and is able to co-exist beside starter Kemba Walker at the end of tight games.
In last 3 games, @hornets Jeremy Lin is averaging 22.0 ppg & 4.0 rpg while shooting 62.5 FG% & 87.5 3FG%.

But despite his stellar play, and the not-so-subtle fact that he was arguably the most popular professional athlete in the world in February 2012, Lin continues to get carded by security guards and arena ushers whenever the Hornets take their show on the road (via ESPN):
"It's one of those things where it literally happens everywhere," Lin told ESPN.com after Thursday's practice in Detroit, where the Hornets will play the Pistons on Friday. "At opposing arenas, it happens all the time. Just the other night in Brooklyn, I was trying to leave [Barclays Center] and one of the ladies was like, 'Hey, I need your credentials for you to pass.' And then someone else was like, 'Oh, he's a player. He's good.' I'm used to it by now. It's just part of being Asian in the NBA."
Lin is 6'3", and a very small percentage of his chiseled frame is body fat. He very much looks like a professional basketball player.
Even though his face has donned dozens of magazine covers and been plastered on televisions across the globe for millions of hours on end, Lin continues to get carded while his lesser known teammates do not.
Aside from the obvious stereotype-related problems with this, Lin has managed to use humor as a form of acceptance. Good for him. The Hornets are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, he's a big reason why and clearly there are more important things on his mind.
