With training camp less than a week away, the Milwaukee Bucks continue to make adjustments to their roster with Jabari Brown reported to be incoming and Xavier Henry on the way out.

Although there’s no real chance of any news close to the significance of Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s extension breaking between now and the start of the season, at the very least, the training camp fine-tuning is still going on for the Milwaukee Bucks.

According to two different reports on Wednesday, the Bucks parted ways with a recent addition to the roster and in his place welcomed a new face.

First reported by Paul Garcia of Project Spurs, small forward Xavier Henry has been waived by Milwaukee, a report which was confirmed when the league published the official transaction log for Tuesday.

Henry had looked like a solid NBA role player prior to suffering a devastating achilles injury, but had started to work his way back to full health late last season in the D-League. That was enough to convince the Bucks to take a closer look, but for whatever reason, it appears as if they quickly felt that was no longer a route worth pursuing.

In offloading Henry, the Bucks wasted little time in adding another young wing with experience as a Laker though.

According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN’s The Undefeated, the Bucks have picked up former Missouri Tiger Jabari Brown.

Brown most notably played 19 games for the Lakers in the 2014-15 season, and most recently spent last season playing between China and the Lakers’ D-League affiliate the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

The 23-year-old’s play with the D-Fenders was cut short after only one month though as his season came to an end due to patellar tendinitis, meaning that not unlike Henry, Brown has fitness concerns of his own as a new season approaches.

Although his numbers have fluctuated significantly in his time away from the NBA, Brown hit respectable marks in a short stay with the Lakers in the big league.

In 29.9 minutes per game, Brown averaged 11.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists, while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three-point range.

That run also included a spectacular performance in Brown’s final game of that season against the Sacramento Kings, where the Oakland native went off for 32 points including making 4-6 from deep.

Whether Brown would be capable of replicating that in the future remains to be seen, and as likely little more than training camp competition for those currently on guaranteed deals for the Bucks, it could prove to be immaterial.

Saying that, Brown continues the trend of adding wings to the squad heading into camp, so maybe there’s still a story to develop in that part of the rotation in the coming weeks.
