Marcelo Huertas hides behind coach to set up incredibly sneaky steal

Published Mar. 31, 2016 9:44 a.m. ET

Wednesday was a whirlwind day for the Los Angeles Lakers, as the team confronted an "internal matter" gone viral, welcomed Lamar Odom back to the Staples Center, and actually won a basketball game against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference in overtime.

Kobe Bryant played only nine minutes before being wrapped like a mummy on the bench, but Lakers guards Jordan Clarkson, D'Angelo russell and Marcelo Huertas stepped up in Bryant's absence. In the fourth quarter, Huertas made one of the craftiest plays of the year, using Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra as cover to surprise Goran Dragic.

As the Heat brought the ball up the court, Huertas remained near the Heat bench and hid himself behind Spoelstra. Huertas waited until Dragic neared halfcourt, then sprinted onto the floor from and poked the ball away. Dragic had no idea what happened.
