After another exciting game, the Lakers came away empty handed.
Thus far, the Lakers have proven a lot of people wrong. Despite now boasting a 1-3 record, the way that they’re playing has noticeably improved.
Los Angeles is the midst of an early road test against good teams, so are they really underachieving?
Luke Walton has changed the culture of the Lakers for the better. The young core is starting to look more like a core than being known for their youth, and the potential is real.
After being Houston in their season opener, the young Lakers are still searching for their second win. Losing a winnable game in Utah never feels good, while OKC and Indiana are no easy visits.
The Lakers close out their short road trip in Atlanta on Wednesday night before hosting Golden State.
Great way to come home, right?

Even in a loss, the game against the Pacers comes with plenty of positives.
Jordan Clarkson continued to show he can come off the bench, while Lou Williams had himself a night. Williams led the team in scoring with 19 points, while Clarkson dropped 15.
D’Angelo Russell led all starters with 11 points, while Larry Nance, Jr. proved to be the biggest surprise.
Nance, Jr. scored 11 points off the bench with five assists and six steals to his credit.
As expected, Paul George played rather dominantly in front of the Pacers’ home crowd. George led both teams in scoring by dropping 30 points and adding seven rebounds, four steals, and an assist.
The Lakers had a chance to break even in their first four games, but playing Atlanta is a game that they can use to get back on track.
Any way you look at it, the Warriors are going to be a problem.
Los Angeles is going to need all the momentum they can get if they want to have a chance when Golden State comes to town.
