Los Angeles Lakers superstar sat out Wednesday's game vs. the Orlando Magic because of back soreness, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
This is the second consecutive game Bryant has missed because of his back injury, just two days after telling head coach Byron Scott he wanted to play in all 82 games this season.
There is no timetable for his return yet, but Scott believes Bryant could be back as early as Friday for the Lakers' matchup in Dallas against the Mavericks, according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell:
Metta World Peace is starting in Bryant's place once again.
