Kobe Bryant is near the very end of a 20-year NBA career that will undoubtedly land him in the Hall of Fame as one of the game's all-time greats.

There were far more positives than negatives throughout Bryant's storied career, but there were certainly moments of adversity.

In an interview with ESPN Los Angeles on Wednesday, Bryant was asked to identify the worst moment of his career. And the answer may come as a bit of a surprise.

Bryant is known as one of the game's fiercest competitors, so it wouldn't have been shocking at all for him to point to something like the loss to the Celtics in the 2008 Finals as being the lowest point of his career.

But the Achilles' injury he suffered effectively marked the end of it.

Bryant has been injury-riddled and a shell of himself statistically ever since, so it makes sense that he chose this moment over all the rest as being the absolute worst.
