Knicks release controversial statement defending the Isaiah Thomas hire

When James Dolan hired Isaiah Thomas to become president of the New York Liberty this week, the decision was met with a chorus of boos.
Thomas was a struggling general manager for Dolan's other basketball team, the Knicks. He didn't have success as a coach. Now, many expect him to run the Liberty into the ground. But that wasn't the only issue.
Upon Thomas' return to Madison Square Garden, memories of the $11.6 million sexual harassment lawsuit from his time with the Knicks re-entered the spotlight. The Knicks, though, stood by their man. You can judge their official statement on your own (h/t to ESPN's Ian Begley):
