Heat's Mario Chalmers got a tattoo of his Nintendo namesake
It looks like there's official confirmation that Miami Heat point guard Mario Chalmers is cool with being linked to his slightly more famous counterpart, the video game protagonist Mario -- and it comes in the form of a pretty elaborate tattoo.
There were indications of Chalmers' appreciation for his pixelated brethren back in 2013, when the Harlem Shake was still a thing and Chalmers dressed as his mustachioed gaming counterpart in the Heat's team video:
But wearing a costume for a quick bit is one thing. Getting a video game character tattooed on your arm is a whole different ballgame.
It's a really cool tattoo, but can we talk about the fact that Mario (the video game version, not the basketball version) has incredibly massive hands? Either that or the basketball he's palming isn't regulation size.
Also, one question: Who's Luigi in this scenario?
