Dwight Howard wants to be called 'Flash' instead of 'Superman'

Dwight Howard's days as The Man of Steel are unofficially over. He now wants to be known as 'Flash', a moniker once (and possibly still) held by Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

This, understandably, seems odd. Superman is obviously the better superhero, and for Howard to change his nickname now, over a decade into his career, after fighting Shaquille O'Neal for the rights, makes little sense.

But it's true. And TMZ has the photos to prove it.

On second thought, maybe a rebranding is exactly what Howard needs. Despite unbelievable play throughout the postseason (including the Western Conference finals after spraining his knee in Game 1), the general public still views Howard in an unfavorable light.

A brand new superhero-themed car could change all that.
