Cody Zeller's shoulder injury spells doom for Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets have performed better this season with Cody Zeller on the sidelines. That's a fact. But not having the third-year forward for an extended period of time could seriously disrupt their rotation, and force players who aren't ready into bigger responsibilities than they're capable of handling.
That's reality right now for a Hornets team that can't seem to catch a break:
INJURY REPORT: .@hornets Cody Zeller underwent MRI revealing sprained ligament in R shoulder. Listed as OUT and reevaluated in a week.

Zeller isn't Larry Bird, but he's having the most efficient season of his career, shooting 49.6 percent from the floor and sporting a 15.2 PER. He's getting to the free-throw line more often than ever before, and is far and away the team's most athletic frontcourt weapon—even if he doesn't eat like it:
Few seven footers in the entire league move as well as Zeller can, on both ends of the court, and the possibility of losing him should scare Hornets fans everywhere.
