After all the talk about if post-knee surgery Carmelo Anthony is an elite player or not, NBA 2K16 has finally weighed in on the debate. Everyone has his own definition of "elite," but here's one thing that's not debatable for 2K Sports: Melo remains one of the best players in the NBA.
The most popular basketball video game tweeted out its top-10 rated players for the soon-to-be-released NBA 2K16, and guess who snuck into the back end of the list...
If you couldn't figure it out on your own based on the context of this post and the headline, I'm seriously judging you.
Anthony is the prototypical video game player, considering the side of the ball on which his best skills rely. He's a scorer, a jump shooter, a rebounder, a finisher. Those traits all translate wonderfully to video games.
We'll have to wait to see how the overall rating breaks down by category, but an 88 for Melo still seems perfectly fair.
