Alex Poythress and Nick Zeisloft Waived By the Indiana Pacers

Alex Poythress and Nick Zeisloft were shown the door as the Indiana Pacers trim down their roster, but you can expect them to join the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The Indiana Pacers are still getting their roster down to 15 players and today they are a step closer after waiving both Alex Poythress and Nick Zeisloft.

Neither did much for the Pacers in the preseason as Poythress played in two preseason games and scored a single point while Zeisloft played in one game and did not score at all.

While they aren’t on Indiana’s NBA roster anymore, they aren’t expected to leave the organization entirely.

According to Vigilant Sports’ Scott Agness, both are expected to join the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

The Pacers now have 17 players on their NBA roster, though Julyan Stone is likely one of the next cuts.

The Pacers final preseason game is on Wednesday when they head north to face the Milwaukee Bucks.
