TRG names Jay Guy crew chief

Jay Guy has been named the new crew chief for the No. 71 TRG Racing Chevrolet and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rookie-of-the-year candidate Andy Lally.
“We’re locked into owner points for the first five races with Andy,” Guy said. “He doesn’t have as much oval experience as we like, but he’s a phenomenal road-course racer. If he can at least finish in the top 25 to 30 each week and then improve at these tracks when we return in the second time around, we’ll be fine.”
The 38-year-old Lancaster, Pa., native has worked as a crew chief in NASCAR since 2003. Most recently he served as crew chief for Brad Keselowski's Sprint Cup team effort at Penske Racing.
Guy says TRG is still finalizing plans for its pit crew. Last year the company used a satellite crew from Stewart Haas Racing but that squad moved to Furniture Row this season.
