NASCAR: Time-Lapse Video Of Bristol Transformation
In less than 10 days Bristol will not be the home of one of the best NASCAR races of the season but instead it will be home to college football and the Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was at Bristol Motor Speedway only a short time ago on August 21st. Less than two weeks later the speedway is nine days away from hosting Tennessee and Virginia Tech in the Pilot Flying J Battle at Bristol. The game is slated to draw a record number of fans.
The crew at Bristol Motor Speedway began transforming the speedway from a track to a football stadium the moment that NASCAR cleared out of there following the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. Below are two time-lapse videos of the progress that has taken place at Bristol since NASCAR fans last saw it.
Bristol Motor Speedway is expecting to host north of 150,000 people on September 10th when Tennessee and Virginia Tech come into town. As you can see from the videos above, the speedway is coming along quite nicely (the link below provides a historical and analytical look at the transformation and everything that is going into making the game happen).
The game will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. A limited number of VIP tickets for the game are still available. To find out more, please visit www.bristolmotorspeedway.com. If you cannot be at the game live to witness it, you need to make sure that you tune into ABC to check out the product of the transformation. Not only will the transformation be a sight to see but the game itself between Tennessee and Virginia Tech should be well worth your time.
Be sure to check back with Beyond The Flag in the coming days for more updates on the speedway ahead of the big game.
