Indy Racing League CEO Randy Bernard says series officials are talking to potential promoters about putting the historic Milwaukee Mile racetrack back on the schedule.
Milwaukee could replace Chicagoland Speedway if it returns to the IndyCar lineup.
Speaking to reporters before Saturday night's IndyCar race at Chicagoland, Bernard said ''several'' promoters are interested in bringing IndyCar back to Milwaukee. The track withdrew from hosting major events after previous promoters ran into financial problems and a suitable replacement couldn't be found.
Bernard has had discussions about IndyCar's future at Chicagoland, but isn't sure if the series and track owner International Speedway Corp. are on the same page.
