Dover once again partnering with FedEx, Autism Speaks for Cup race

FedEx, Autism Speaks and Dover International Speedway announced they have partnered once again to present the "FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks" NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the one-mile speedway on Sunday, May 31.

"We couldn't be happier to have FedEx back on board as title sponsor for our spring NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event," said Michael Tatoian, president and CEO of Dover International Speedway. "Their involvement helps elevate the weekend to the next level, and their support of Autism Speaks should not go unnoticed. They truly are engaged in this effort and an exemplary corporate citizen."

This is the fifth year of the popular partnership. As part of the partnership, the Autism Speaks Day at the Races program returns for the May 31 event. The program gives those with autism and their families the opportunity to attend a NASCAR event in a safe environment.

Those taking part in the program will receive tickets to the race, have pre-race appearances by drivers and NASCAR personalities, hear from educational speakers, receive food and drinks, seats in the air-conditioned grandstands along the backstretch, and more.

While this is the fifth year Autism Speaks has partnered with FedEx as the race sponsor, this is the ninth year Autism Speaks has partnered with Dover International Speedway in some capacity to raise funds and awareness for autism.

Drivers in all three NASCAR national touring series will feature Autism Speaks decals on their cars throughout the weekend.
