Just because Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn't driving the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet doesn't mean he isn't busy these days.

Earnhardt will miss the entire second half of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season while he recovers from a concussion, but he has plenty of responsibilities to occupy his time away from the cockpit.

The 41-year-old driver has a wide range of business interests, as documented by entrepreneur.com in an article entitled "7 Speedy Business Tips From NASCAR Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr."

A lot of what Earnhardt tells the website mirrors his personality: The advice is down-to-earth and practical with a good bit of folksy wisdom — good, solid, common-size advice, mostly focused around building and maintaining relationships.

But it's easy to see how he's managed to leverage is on-track success with a solid foundation of enterprises on and off the track, everything from the JR Motorsports NASCAR XFINITY Series team he co-owns with sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller to his Whiskey River nightclub in Uptown Charlotte.

Clearly, there's a lot more to Earnhardt than just "Water Cooler Dale" these days.
