Kurt Busch is taking on even more races with Phoenix Racing this season.

The team announced Monday that Busch will drive a limited number of Nationwide Series races in the organization's No. 1 Chevrolet this season. He begins that schedule at Daytona International Speedway.

The team stated in a news release that Busch will run "all major events" and that the group is seeking sponsorship for these races. Busch previously announced he will drive in the Sprint Cup Series with the team this season.

"Everyone at Phoenix Racing is excited about competing on the Nationwide circuit this year," general manager Steve Barkdoll  said. ""Our Nationwide Series team is a proven, winning organization and we're looking forward to Busch continuing the tradition. This is a great opportunity for a company to partner with a top-notch program."
