Pirates' Kang constantly improving

Jung Ho-Kang came to the Pirates with lofty expectations and although he went through some growing pains early, it appears he's starting to figure everything out.

"He's playing at a level he has never played before," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle told Pirates.com. "He's learning something every day."

But what's led to that success? Well, according to Hurdle, Kang studies the game a lot and the results of his studies are starting to pay dividends on the field.

"Oh, Kang does a lot of homework," Hurdle said. "He does a lot of video work. And he can hit. He's got skills to hit, and he hunts pitches in certain situations."
