Philadelphia Phillies star John Mayberry Jr. may be on a streak on the field, but he still needs his agent to get him a date, the New York Post reported Wednesday.

His CAA Sports reps have been trying to hook him up with stunning actress Antoinette Nikprelaj, who played a sexy mermaid in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tide."

An agent at CAA's baseball division has been firing off emails to rival agency Innovative Artists, asking them to "connect" the outfielder with their client.

The LA-based agent wrote in the email on August 30, "I imagine you're familiar with CAA and some of our clients, as we work with Ryan Howard, Roy Halladay, Buster Posey and Andre Ethier among others.

"I hate to even be sending you this email, and I'm quite embarrassed to say the least, but we have a young client on the Philadelphia Phillies who asked us if we knew any agents at Innovative Artists and could connect him to Antoinette Nikprelaj.

"I know you're not a dating or set-up service, but John Mayberry Jr. (Phillies OF) would love to meet Antoinette or invite her to a baseball game sometime. Would this be possible?"

He added, "Here's a bio of John to give you some more info on him (he's a great guy, down-to-earth, humble, Stanford-educated, etc.) Thanks for considering this as you know how this business is and servicing clients."

Dark-haired beauty Nikprelaj played one of a team of mermaids in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" who seduce and terrorize Captain Jack and his crew. She also appeared in the movie "Just Go With It" and has been filming scenes for "Gossip Girl."

Agents are often asked to make introductions or hook up stars with suitable partners. Andy Roddick met Brooklyn Decker after reportedly seeing her photo and telling his agent to call hers.

CAA declined to comment, and reps for Nikprelaj did not get back to the Post.
