The San Diego Padres have reinstated second baseman Orlando Hudson from the 15-day disabled list Thursday.

Hudson was placed on the disabled list with a strained right hamstring May 4. He was batting .245 with six RBIs and a career high-tying 10 stolen bases.

The Padres also optioned rookie right-handed pitcher Evan Scribner to Triple-A Tucson. Scribner made his major league debut April 26 against Atlanta, one day after he was recalled from Tucson. He appeared in six games with a 2.45 ERA.
