Orioles' Adam Jones loses track of outs; A's Cespedes strolls home

In the bigger picture, maybe it doesn't mean a whole lot, but we still expect major leaguers to keep track of how many outs there are in an inning.
In Sunday's game against the Oakland A's, Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones caught a fly ball hit by Josh Donaldson. Jones obviously thought it was the third out of the third inning, but it was just out No. 2. The A's Yoenis Cespedes, tagging from third base, didn't draw a throw and made a leisurely trip to score.
Now, you can argue that Cespedes probably would have scored even if Jones had come up throwing. Or you could say that the one run wasn't exactly crucial in the Orioles' 10-2 loss to Oakland.
