Indians adding extra seating at Progressive Field for playoffs
The Indians are preparing for some serious playoff crowds, adding additional seating to aisles at Progressive Field and to the upper deck, according to Greg Dee of WKYC.
Cleveland netted the third-lowest attendance rate in Major League Baseball this season, despite finishing with the American League’s second-best record, and the organization appears to be expanding seating to welcome fans. The Indians haven’t made the playoffs since 2013 and have not won a World Series since 1948. They’ve only been to the post-season four times this century.

So, after the Cavaliers just pulled off the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history, it’s only fair that the maximum amount of Ohioans will get the chance to check out the Indians.
Cleveland hosts the Boston Red Sox for Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday night.
