Giants not in position to start All-Star Game, but Bochy will be managing

Major League Baseball released the first National League All-Star Game voting updates on Wednesday, and no Giants player was the leading vote-getter at any position. With Bruce Bochy managing the NL squad though, the Giants figure to be well-represented in Cincinnati.

Buster Posey actually trails Yadier Molina by about 100,000 votes behind the plate, so Posey may very well eclipse Molina by the time voting ends in just over a month.

At shortstop, Brandon Crawford is fifth in voting despite putting up solid offensive numbers. He leads all NL shortstops with 31 RBIs and is tied for second in home runs with 6. He ranks 6th among all NL players in WAR.

In the outfield, Nori Aoki and Angel Pagan sit just outside the top-three at fourth and fifth respectively.

Bochy does have a chance to choose one NL starter -- the pitcher -- and Madison Bumgarner seems to be having all All-Star-worthy season so far.
