NEW YORK (AP) A minor league player in the Milwaukee Brewers' organization has been suspended 72 games without pay after a positive test for a performance-enhancing drug.

Outfielder Ariel Estades was penalized Friday by the commissioner's office after testing positive for Nandrolone, a steroid.

Estades is on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Brewers. His ban is effective immediately.

There have been 68 suspensions this year under the minor league drug program.
