Rickie Fowler chips in to win hole at Ryder Cup

Published Sep. 30, 2016 11:03 a.m. ET

The pairing of Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler seemed headed toward defeat after Mickelson hit his drive out of bounds on the sixth hole, leading Team USA to fall two-down in their match against Rory McIlroy and Andy Sullivan - but the Americans rebounded to win the next three holes, capped by a Rickie Fowler chip-in on the ninth.

Fowler, who hit a lengthy birdie putt at the seventh to win a hole, curled in an uphill chip to go 1-up through nine.
