John Daly joins list of athletes stumping for Donald Trump
John Daly always attracts attention no matter how he performs on the golf course thanks to his unique taste in fashion. On Super Tuesday, Daly used his position as a public figure to promote his pick for the 2016 presidential election: Donald Trump.
That's right. Daly is backing the Donald for president, and he pledged his support with a colorful message on Twitter Tuesday.

Trump is well-connected in the golfing realm. He owns multiple courses throughout the world, and some of his courses have played host to PGA and LPGA events. This week's WGC-Cadillac Championship will take place at Trump National Doral in Miami.
But Trump's polarizing comments throughout his campaign might drive some distance between the candidate and the PGA. On Monday, the PGA issued a statement to GOLF.com saying they disapprove of Trump's statements but will continue their relationship with him for now.
"We continue to stand by our earlier statement, and the statement of other golf organizations, that Mr. Trump's comments are inconsistent with our strong commitment to an inclusive and welcoming environment in the game of golf," the PGA said in a statement to GOLF.com.
"The PGA Tour has had a 53-year commitment to the Doral community, the greater Miami area and the charities that have benefited from the tournament. Given this commitment, we are moving forward with holding the 2016 event at the Blue Monster."
Regardless, the signal boost from Daly only adds to a growing list of athletes who stand behind Trump.
