UGA's Scott-Wesley has knee surgery, WR expected back before the season

Published Jul. 3, 2015 5:13 p.m. ET

Senior wideout Justin Scott-Wesley underwent knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus Thursday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Scott-Wesley's immediate return to the team is unknown but the team is optimistic the senior will return before the start of fall practice in the fall.

The Bulldog receiver has only 498 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his career but is expected to see an increase in production this season with so few returning receivers for Georgia. If Scott-Wesley fails to return in time for the start of the season, one of Georgia's biggest questions heading into the season will have lost a likely contributor.
