Top seven spots remain unchanged in AP Top 25

The top seven teams in the AP Top 25 remained the same when the poll was released Sunday afternoon.

Alabama, Ohio State, Louisville, Michigan and Clemson retained the top five spots, followed by Houston and Stanford.

Alabama received 50 first-place votes, Louisville got six, Ohio State had four and Michigan received one.

Several teams tumbled in the rankings after key losses. Georgia dropped from No. 12 to No. 25 after a 45–14 drubbing by Ole Miss. Michigan State’s 30–6 loss against Wisconsin sent the Spartans from No. 8 to No. 17, but the Badgers rose to No. 8 from No. 11.

Boise State and TCU enter the rankings this week at No. 24 and No. 21, respectively.

FCS school North Dakota State received 58 votes, the third-most among teams not ranked in the top 25.
