Syracuse Football: The Twelve Days of SU Football Part 2

On the fourth day of Christmas my true team gave to me, Orange is the New Fast Version 2.0.  So I will coin a new phrase that we all will be talking about next year ONF 2.0.  With a year in the books under the new offensive philosophy I am looking to upgrade from Jet Fuel in a Smart Car to maybe a midlife crisis Jaguar.  By next year a few factors will help Dino get the offense firing on all cylinders:

    On the fifth day of Christmas my true team gave to me Dino Baber’s maturation as a coach.  I have criticized Dino in the past for his play calling that put both Eric Dungey at risk and questionable play calling, this improved as the year went on but there is still room for growth.

    Playing fast is a strategy that will help with the Orange’s limited talent at the skill positions but

      this has to be used with discretion.  Sometimes three runs and a cloud of dust is what is called for depending on field position and allowing the defense to breathe.

      On the sixth day of Christmas my true team gave to me Syracuse Football’s return to train at Fort Drum.  This time spent each summer learning how to do it the Army way is both a team building experience, an opportunity for the team to bond away from day to day grind and to see what real sacrifice and dedication truly looks like.  This is an experience that will make them better football players and better citizens of our great nation.
