Steve Angeli - On track for fall camp Angeli (achilles) is on track to be ready to roll for Syracuse's fall camp, per Syracuse.com.

Impact Angeli was off to an excellent start in 2025 with the Orange, having tossed for 1,317 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions on 63 percent completion with a rushing score as well. However, he suffered a season-ending achilles injury in Week 4 and was wiped out for the rest of the season. He's still not a full go in spring ball, but remains on track to be a full participant in fall camp.

Impact Syracuse's spring practice recently commenced, and an attending Angeli told reporters that he is progressing well despite being on the sideline for said session. It is unknown whether or not 'Cuse's spring camp will include the quarterback, but he will be ready for the beginning of the 2026 FBS season. With that in mind, it would not be surprising if Angeli can log some spring reps.

Impact Nelson, a former blue-chip quarterback recruit, has spent time at USC, Boise State and UTEP in his career. He got the biggest opportunity of his career this past fall with the Miners, but largely struggled as the starting quarterback and was ultimately benched in Week 7, never seeing the field again. He'll likely add depth to the Syracuse quarterback room, where he'll have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Impact Meyers, enrolled at Western Kentucky, will transfer to Syracuse. At tight end, 'Cuse would want to replace Dan Villari, an excellent senior whose 2025 season features 412 receiving yards. During the year, Meyers recorded 357 of them and three touchdowns.

Impact Hatcher initially aimed to leave Syracuse and look for another program to continue his career, but that won't be the case anymore. Hatcher will aim to secure a regular role in the Orange's passing game in 2026. He had 17 catches for 273 yards and three scores in 2025.

Impact Weaver lands with Syracuse after playing the last two seasons with Miami-OH and will now look to make an impact with his new school. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver enjoyed a productive season, reeling in 45 receptions for 642 yards and one touchdown across 14 games.

Impact Nixon apparently secured an additional year of eligibility from the NCAA, but has elected to forgo it and chase his NFL dreams after two seasons at Washington and two seasons at Syracuse. He's coming off the best year of his career, with 432 rushing yards and three touchdowns to go along with 26 catches for 187 yards. Nixon figures to be a late-round/un-drafted prospect in April.
