Angeli (achilles) is on track to be ready to roll for Syracuse's fall camp, per Syracuse.com.
Impact
Angeli was off to an excellent start in 2025 with the Orange, having tossed for 1,317 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions on 63 percent completion with a rushing score as well. However, he suffered a season-ending achilles injury in Week 4 and was wiped out for the rest of the season. He's still not a full go in spring ball, but remains on track to be a full participant in fall camp.

Syracuse's spring practice recently commenced, and an attending Angeli told reporters that he is progressing well despite being on the sideline for said session. It is unknown whether or not 'Cuse's spring camp will include the quarterback, but he will be ready for the beginning of the 2026 FBS season. With that in mind, it would not be surprising if Angeli can log some spring reps.

Impact
Nelson, a former blue-chip quarterback recruit, has spent time at USC, Boise State and UTEP in his career. He got the biggest opportunity of his career this past fall with the Miners, but largely struggled as the starting quarterback and was ultimately benched in Week 7, never seeing the field again. He'll likely add depth to the Syracuse quarterback room, where he'll have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Odom had a breakout 2025 campaign at Kennesaw State, throwing for 2,594 yards and 19 touchdowns while adding 347 rushing yards. He'll head to Syracuse, where he's likely to slot in as the Orange's starting quarterback. Odom started his career in the ACC with Wake Forest.

Impact
During 2025, Smith barely logged multiple receptions for 20 yards. Ideally for tight end, 2026 is more like 2024, when he was easily one of college football's better TEs with South Carolina. Smith recorded 10 catches (on 16 targets) for 106 yards and one touchdown.
