Kirby Smart adds three coaches to his Georgia staff

Published Jan. 4, 2016 5:07 p.m. ET

Kirby Smart's first Georgia staff is beginning to round into shape following the weekend announcement of three more additions to the 2016 Bulldog coaching staff.

James Coley, previously the offensive coordinator at Miami, will join the staff as receivers coach. Dell McGee, interim head coach of Georgia Southern, will coach the Dawgs running backs. Finally, Marshall Malchow will lead up the Bulldogs recruiting department under Smart.

Coley has coached in the state of Florida since 2005, coaching with the Hurricanes, Florida State and the Miami Dolphins during that time. Expect Coley to help the Dawgs recruit the Sunshine State under Smart.

Before taking over as interim head coach, McGee served as Georgia Southern's running back coach. The Eagles of course lead the nation in rushing in 2015 by averaging 363 yards per game on the ground. McGee has also won a Georgia AAA state title as head coach of Columbus-Carver High School.
