Kent State QB has embarrassing unintentional grounding against Ohio State

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 8:45 p.m. ET

Poor Kent State. The Golden Flashes didn't stand a chance Saturday afternoon against Ohio State, trailing 21-0 after one quarter and 45-0 at halftime on their way to a 66-0 loss to their cross-state foes.

Lowlights abounded for Kent State in the contest, but one in particular should hardly expect to be chosen for "The One" anytime soon.

In the final minute of the first half, Kent State quarterback Colin Reardon took the snap and rolled to his right, searching for a receiver downfield. He appeared to spot one, but when the sophomore went to uncork a bomb, the ball didn't cooperate.

Reardon managed just 79 yards through the air and tossed two interceptions before being yanked late in the third quarter.
