Ducks will decide QB starter at game-time
Oregon will likely wait until right before kickoff to decide whether Vernon Adams Jr. or Jeff Lockie will start on Saturday night in Boulder against Colorado.
“We are going to see it at game-time again,” Helfrich said, according to The Register-Guard. “It will be the look in his eye, the zip on the ball and that air of confidence about you. That’s the thing. It is not like a broken foot and a guy is out. It is a little different than that, so we will see.”
Adams is dealing with a broken right index finger and was also pulled from last Saturday's 62-20 loss to Utah following a 2-for-7 start.
Adams has acknowledged that he is not playing at 100 percent. If Adams is unable to go, Jeff Lockie will get his second start of the season.
