Williams 20 points leads Drexel past North Texas 83-62

DENTON, Texas (AP) Rodney Williams scored 20 points, collected six rebounds and passed out five assists and Kari Jonsson contributed 15 points off the bench to lead Drexel past North Texas 83-62 on Sunday in the Scarlet Knight Showcase.

The Dragons' Austin Williams was perfect from the floor making all six shots for 13 points while collecting eight rebounds, Kurk Lee scored 12 and Sammy Mojica added 11 and nine boards.

Lee's 3-pointer at the 9:55 mark and jumper with 6:30 remaining started and ended a run that began with the Dragons stretching a one-point lead to 28-15. It was 40-21 at the half.

Drexel (2-2) shot 60 percent in the second half and finished shooting 52 percent (32 of 59), including 12 for 24 behind the arc.

Jeremy Combs led North Texas (1-2) with 15 points and five rebounds, J-Mychal Reese added 13 points and six assists.
