Stephen F. Austin wins 17th straight, beats NW State 95-55

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) Demetrious Floyd and Ty Charles combined to score 37 points as Stephen F. Austin dominated Northwestern State 95-55 on Thursday night to pick up its 17th straight Southland Conference win.

Stephen F. Austin (24-5, 17-0), which has the nation's longest winning streak, had its biggest win over the Demons in 125 games.

The Lumberjacks, who have already claimed the regular-season conference title for the fourth straight year, will conclude the regular season against Sam Houston State on Saturday.

Floyd nailed 5 of 9 from distance and Charles hit all three attempts from the beyond the arc as SFA made 54 percent from long range.

Jared Johnson added 12 points and Thomas Walkup and Clide Geffrard chipped in 10 apiece for SFA.

The Lumberjacks, who had a 38-22 halftime lead, pushed that to 80-38 with 9:15 remaining.

Ishmael Lane and Devonte Hall had 11 each for Northwestern State (8-19, 5-12).
