INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Tyler Flack scored 22 points with seven rebounds and South Dakota held off IUPUI 85-82 on Thursday night.

Flack was 8 of 13 from the field and 6 of 8 from the line as the Coyotes (14-16, 5-10 Summit) shot over 52 percent. Trey Norris scored 17 points with six assists and three steals.

IUPUI (12-18, 8-7) was led by Darell Combs with a career-high 32 points on 11-of-20 shooting with six 3-pointers. Matt O'Leary added 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

South Dakota held a small lead for most of the contest. An O'Leary jumper tied it at 40 early in the second half, but a seven-point spurt by the Coyotes, with five from Combs, restored a working margin.

IUPUI cut the lead to two with 1:13 left after a six-point swing, but Flack responded with a layup then a steal, which led to a pair of Casey Kasperbauer free throws and South Dakota held on.
