San Francisco pulls away from Pepperdine in 82-72 win

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) Ronnie Boyce shot 12 for 18 from the field and scored 25 points and Devin Watson added 21 as San Francisco beat Pepperdine 82-72 Thursday night.

Senior forward Stacy Davis led Pepperdine with 20 points to become the leading scorer in school history. The previous record-holder, Dane Suttle, had 1,701 points between 1979-80 and 1980-83.

Davis entered the game against San Francisco with 1,693 points. His ninth point, to pass Suttle, came on a basket with 7:22 left in the first half. Davis also grabbed 12 rebounds.

San Francisco (15-11, 8-7 West Coast Conference) outscored Pepperdine (16-11, 9-7) by a 19-10 margin in the game's final 6:48 to seal the win. Watson hit a 3 and Uche Ofoegbu made two free throws to make it 80-69 with just more than a minute to play.
