Reports: Kentucky coach Calipari elected to Basketball Hall of Fame

Kentucky coach John Calipari has reportedly been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Multiple media outlets, all citing sources, are reporting that Calipari received the necessary votes to get into the Hall. An official announcement of all those receiving enough votes to make the Hall is expected on Monday.
According to ESPN, the voting was close with Calipari getting the 18 of 24 votes he needed for induction.
The 56-year-old coach and his previously undefeated Kentucky Wildcats lost to Wisconsin in the Final Four on Saturday night. Calipari has gone to the Final Four with three different college programs -- University of Massachusetts in 1996 and Memphis in 2008, though both of those were vacated by the NCAA. He has made four trips to the Final Four in the past five years with Kentucky, winning the title in 2012.
Calipari also spent some time in the NBA, coaching the now Brooklyn Nets.
