"One Shining Moment" getting new artist for TBS broadcast

NEW YORK (AP) There will be a new version of ''One Shining Moment'' played with the NCAA Tournament's famed montage this year, a Turner network executive says.

Luther Vandross performs the version of the song that's been used every year since 2003, except in 2010, when CBS used a version by Jennifer Hudson.

The song was composed by David Barrett, and Barrett's version was used from 1987-1993 and again from 2000-2002, with a cover by Teddy Pendergrass featured in the interim.

For the first time, TBS is showing the entire Final Four this season.
