'One Sagging Moment:' Dayton player loses shorts during game

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 1:53 p.m. ET

UPDATE (Thursday, 12:06 a.m. ET): Shortly after the Dayton-Boise State game ended, and about an hour after the world began having its fun at his expense, Dyshawn Pierre apparently had a laugh of his own at his misfortune:

Go ahead, laugh. Call it "One Sagging Moment" if you must.

But at least Dayton basketball coach Archie Miller can count on junior forward Dyshawn Pierre to come down with the critical rebound ... even if his shorts are falling to the floor.

We know this because it happened on Wednesday night.

Enjoy (we think) ...

The play came in the second half of Wednesday night's NCAA tournament 11-seed play-in game between the Flyers and Boise State. The Flyers were playing at home, but were trailing at the time of the play and the rebound was indeed key as Dayton did not secure their 66-65 win until the Broncos' final shot sailed wide at the buzzer.

They say grabbing rebounds is dirty work. Well, judging by the reactions of people (particularly the cheerleaders), it wasn't pretty to see this rebound up close.

If you look closely, it appears Flyers sophomore guard Kyle Davis' foot may have gotten caught in Pierre's waistband as the players were coming down.
