Northern Kentucky runs away from Youngstown St. 84-64
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) Tyler White had 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists on Thursday night and Northern Kentucky beat Youngstown State 84-64 for its first Horizon League win of the season.
White's second 3-pointer gave the Norse (5-10, 1-3) a 42-18 lead with 4:36 left in the first half and the Penguins (7-11, 2-3) never recovered.
Drew McDonald added 16 points, Jalen Billup scored 14 and Cole Murray added 11 points and a career-high seven rebounds. White's nine rebounds were also a career high.
Cameron Morse scored 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting to lead Youngstown State. It was the sophomore's second-highest point total of his career, coming immediately after the 44 he scored in a 103-93 overtime win against Green Bay on Saturday.
Matt Donlan added 15 points with 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range for the Penguins.
