Menzies has 23 points as Seattle battles back for 82-65 win

SEATTLE (AP) Aaron Menzies scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Seattle fought back to beat NAIA Northwest University 82-65 on Thursday night.

Menzies slammed home a dunk with 5:47 left as Seattle took the lead for good. The Redhawks pushed their advantage to 73-61 with 2:16 remaining.

Menzies was 9 of 17 from the floor and pulled down seven offensive boards. Morgan Means added 22 points and dished out five assists. William Powell chipped in 17 points for the Redhawks (3-4).

Seattle took the lead, 46-45, at the 16:34 mark. The Eagles retook the lead and were up 61-57 when Means nailed a 3-pointer and made a free throw to tie at 6:41. Menzies then dunked to go out front for good.

Seattle won it at the free-throw line, making 16 of 21 while the Eagles were just 1 of 4.

Dak Shagren and Michael Dupree led the Eagles with 16 points apiece.
