McGlynn scores 25; Rhode Island beats George Mason 81-63

KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) Four McGlynn hit six 3-pointers and finished with 25 points to help Rhode Island beat George Mason 81-63 Tuesday night.

Jared Terrell scored 19 and Jarvis Garrett added 17, including four 3s, for Rhode Island. Terrell and Garrett had five assists apiece.

Shevon Thompson converted a 3-point play to pull George Mason (8-16, 2-9 Atlantic 10) within two with 17 minutes to play, but McGlynn scored eight, including a pair of 3-pointers, as Rhode Island scored 11 in a row to make it 57-43 three minutes later.

The Rams (14-10, 6-5) led by double figures the rest of the way.

Rhode Island made 32 of 60 (53.3 percent) from the field, including 12 of 21 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range, and tied a season low with four turnovers.

Thompson led the Patriots with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while DeAndre Abram scored 16.
