Las Vegas sportsbooks see Duke-Wisconsin as a toss-up

The Las Vegas sportsbooks weren't able to settle on a favorite for Monday night's NCAA Final between Duke and Wisconsin.

Shortly after the Badgers upended Kentucky, handing the Wildcats their first loss of the season, the betting line began to trickle out for the champsionship game.

The over/under was 141 points. The line itself --- pick 'em.

It will be interesting to see which way it moves as the action picks up

What wasn't a question was the numerology that was on Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky's side on Saturday. The date: 4/4. His number: 44. He was playing in the Final Four. And 4/4/93 also happens to be his birthdate.

By the way, the schools met in Madison in December with the Blue Devils posting an 80-70 victory behind 65 percent shooting. Entering that contest both schools were undefeated.

The AP story actually had this paragraph in it that proved prophetic:

It was a thunderous end to a December game that had the tense feel of March. The showcase of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge also could prove to be a Final Four preview.
