Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis says he'll enter NBA draft

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis says he will enter the NBA draft, becoming the third Wildcat over the past week to announce his intention to turn pro.

Ulis said Wednesday during a news conference, ''I feel like this is my time.'' He also said he plans to sign with an agent.

Ulis was an Associated Press first team All-American first team - one of several consensus selections for the 5-foot-9 sophomore - and the AP Southeastern Conference's top player. He averaged 17.3 points, 7 assists and a team-high 37 minutes per game and broke John Wall's single-season school record for assists with 246.

Ulis is a projected to be a first-round selection in the June 23 NBA draft.
