Hubbard scores 17, Loyola (Md) downs Lafayette 84-77

BALTIMORE, Md. (AP) Tyler Hubbard scored 17 points with five 3-pointers, Jarred Jones added 16 points and Loyola (Md.) beat Lafayette 84-77 on Saturday night to win their second straight.

Andre Walker scored 14 points with five assists and Franz Rassman added 13 points for the Greyhounds (6-14, 5-4 Patriot League), who outscored the Leopards 38-24 in the paint and made 22 of 26 free throws.

Trailing by 16 at halftime, Lafayette gained on runs of 11-2 and 7-0 to close to within 75-69 after Bryce Scott and Matt Klinewski each hit 3-pointers.

Scott's jumper pulled the Leopards within 78-77 with 29 seconds to go, but Lafayette got no closer. Walker, Rassman and Jones each hit a pair of free throws in the final 27 seconds to seal it for Loyola.

Monty Boykins scored 18 with five assists and Scott added 15 points for Lafayette (5-15, 2-7), which has lost four straight.
